I know it has been a long time between writings for that I do apologize. To say I have been busy is an understatement, but such is life as you know. I am happy to be writing again. I would love to hear from you. Please if you have something you would like to pas on I will be happy to print it on this site with full credit going to you. There are many smart people out in the fire service. You do not have to be a 20 year veteran I recognize new firefighters has something to offer. If you would like to see something on this site and you do not want to write it, please let me know I will research it and get it on here.

My name is David Polikoff. I am a Career Captain in Montgomery County Maryland, and a Volunteer in Prince Georges County Maryland Company 33. I have been a career firefighter in Montgomery County for 22 years and a Volunteer for 20. I have had training in swift water rescue, ice diving, black water rescue diving and boat operations. I am skilled in Truck Company, Engine Company and Heavy Rescue Squad operations. I am a level II instructor and teach for Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI) in College Park Maryland, and the Montgomery County Public Service Training Academy.
My Mission:
To provide a FREE web based magazine aimed to share information, ideas and tricks of the trade. To give firefighters the opportunity to share their experiences with others. With the information and knowledge that is shared we can all become better and safer firefighters.
